Current project
Day 1 of construction
Fabric: Wool imported from Scotland, UK
Technique: Hand sewn
Once these are completed they will be lined high waisted pants. I'm currently deciding on the hem as you can see. I have two different shoes that could go really well, however, the heel height is slightly different.

Setting up the New Space
Setting up the new space has been a small adventure for me. It's certainly not as interesting as gathering up all of the necessary tools, fabrics or what-have-yous from the local fabric store or online.
Mostly, what I mean by setting up the new space is actually this space, the Phantaschon blog. I keep playing with the format/look and feel, much like I play around with the fit of the designs I make. I am certainly better with fabric than I am with online web design, so if this seems a bit clunky in the beginning I do apologize.

Inspiration from YSL
“[*Haute couture implies precision in lines] Haute couture consists of secrets whispered from generation to generation, ... If, in ready-to-wear, a garment is manufactured according to standard sizes, the haute couture garment adapts to any imperfection in order to eliminate it.” -Yves St Laurent
